Spreading the WORD

Ra’ed the Poetical

The first time I ever saw Ra’ed Poetical, he was full of nerves performing his poetry with his paper in his hand. I was blown away by the words that painted a picture of how I felt about living in an impoverished area in London.

Even though he was not the best performer at the time, he had me so intrigued by his expression that I had to book him for The Poet’s Lounge. At The Poet’s Lounge he was still nervous but the reception Ra’ed received was unforgettable.

Almost three years later and this poet has published a book of his own works.

You can get the book entitled “One day it’ll all make sense” at waterstone’s bookshops.

“Why the Donkey?” EP coming soon

Will Stopha is not just the artist I represent but a forward thinking artist who is definitely nipping at the heals of people like Polar Bear and Charlie Dark.

Here is an excerpt from Will Stopha’s upcoming EP “Why the Donkey?”

Will Stopha

William Stopha born Christopher Mitchell is becoming a veteran of the spoken word circuit. This stop animation is just the beginning of things to come from London’s Heavyweight wordsmith. Stopha has performed his one man shows at the Edinburgh and Camden Fringe festivals for the last couple of years, he has also received airplay from Kerrang! radio.

He is currently working on an EP entitled “Why the Donkey?” and the hype around the release of this EP is immense.

James Massiah

James Massiah is one of the most positive young males around. James is studying for a degree in English and is an intriguing character that is full of life. His poems are insightful to his culture and society, to breakdown the preconceived ideals. At the young age of 19, James is one of my favourite artists and I believe there will be a lot to see from this young man in the future.

This guy is tearing it up on the scene and is getting recognised quickly, as one of the rising stars on the spoken word circuit.

Dean Atta

Dean Atta is self proclaimed young, black, gay and proud of it. Dean is an acclaimed writer with his productions being played at the Lyric theatre in Hammersmith. The Lyric is where Dean teaches and facilitates workshops with kids.

As an actor Dean has been in Justin Donaldson’s play “Karma” and performs regularly at events around London.

Atta is one of the most invigorating artists on the scene. From BBC Radio 4 to his profile by Channel 4 Dean is certainly a star in the game.

Zena Edwards

Zena Edwards is one of the finest UK poets. She has performed on the Russell Simmons show “Def Poetry Jam”, has written short films for Sky digital and has toured all over the world playing her expression through words and music. Zena said about writing “I use words to connect and rationalise the indefinable. Ultimately, I write to remain human”. The way in which Zena uses words takes you on a trip through words and the wisdom’s she posesses, set off by the music that backs her, she discovers rhythms in sentences that will have you floating. Zena sings and plays a Thumb Piano also known as a Mbira or Kalimba and has two albums Healing Pool and Mine 4 Life.
